A project named Faun is entering its next stage

A project named Faun, developed by MpicoSys company, is entering its next stage.
The project, granted by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education in December 2008, is performed in cooperation with the Skarbek Graduate School of Business Economics and International Affairs in Warsaw. The goal of this project is to create an advanced access control system as well as a management system for large number of persons gathered at a place. MpicoSys company is responsible for the technological part of the project. The goal is to create an identity card (badge) with integrated sensors such as a fingerprint reader, a flexible display and wireless connection feature. In order to achieve this, new technologies will be used, to include electrophoretic flexible displays, wireless communication, low power charging and biometric technologies.
The second stage of work has just been completed. Tens of sensor models have already been designed and produced and can be seen at the PPNT Park, on the ground floor. The testing software has been made, too. Currently research works of wireless technology are taking place. Research on localization and communication of high concentration of identifiers was performed with the use of device models, appropriate software and model zones. The works on the project are still in progress.
The Faun system will be commercially applicable at places such as airports, railway stations and stadiums.
Good luck in further works on the project!
