IASP 2014 Gdynia?
Gdynia has entered the competition for an official candidate to host IASP 2014 World Conference. Each year the Conference is held in different country and organizing the event always is a distinction and honor. In the world of innovations, the selection procedure – choosing the localization and the organizer – can be compared to selecting a host of the Olympic Games.
International Association of Science Parks (IASP) is the twenty-seven-year-old worldwide network of 375 Science and Technology Parks from 70 different countries representing over 200 000 companies from all over the world. The Association aims at increasing the competitiveness of companies, towns and regions through innovations, entrepreneurship and technology transfer for the global economic development. Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia (PSTP) has been IASP member since 2003.
As a selected organizer, PSTP is planning to propose the IASP commission the Conference's theme – Social Innovations, as people-related innovations that can make every-day life and activities easier, more efficient and more pleasant. Organizing IASP 2014 World Conference of Science & Technology Parks will make possible for us sharing tools and methods employed in solving social problems. It will be a perfect platform to share best practice and experience and also a unique opportunity to establish contacts and initiate collaboration with innovators from all over the world.
In 2014 after finished expansion, PSTP will be a perfect place to meet for the creators of innovations participating in IASP World conference. Therefore, it is today that PSTP starts up preparations and enters the competition for not only a candidate status but – we hope – the organizer of the IASP 2014 World Conference.
